This year, our family is once again participating in the Tunnel to Towers 5K in loving memory of my Dad, Fire Captain Joseph M. Moran — our hero, a devoted Hillside Fire Captain and Paramedic, proud 9/11 first responder, and the heart of our family.
Following the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation was built on courage, sacrifice, and the belief: “While we have time, let us do good.” This mission meant so much to my Dad, who served at Ground Zero during search and rescue efforts. Supporting this foundation is one small way we can honor not only his legacy, but the countless first responders, military heroes, and families who sacrifice so much.
This will be our second year walking/running as Bugsy’s Gang 127 in beautiful Lake George — a place that meant everything to my Dad and now holds even deeper meaning as his place of rest and serenity. Together, we will cross the finish line in his memory, carrying his legacy of service, strength, and love forward.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated, supported, prayed for us, or shared our page. Your kindness means more than words can express and helps continue a mission that was so close to my Dad’s heart.
If you feel called to support our team, please consider making a donation or joining us for the walk/run. We would be honored to have you beside us as we remember our hero.
